In a motel in Texas, the Corinthian is shown torturing his victim - a young man named Davy whom he apparently lured in under the guise of a date. Dream also confirms the rumors about a vortex and identifies her as Rose, pointing out that she is watching them in her dream. He counts 11 062 entities, concluding that only four 'major arcana' have gone missing during Dream's imprisonment: those are Brute and Glob, The Corinthian, and Fiddler's Green. In The Dreaming, Lucien is conducting a census of the inhabitants.
